The ABCDs of Luminary are Advance, Build, Connect, and Develop, and they use these pillars to empower women on their professional journeys. While the space was created by women with the intention of uplifting women, all allies are welcome to become Luminary members. Notably, Luminary places heavy significance on the importance of connection and skill development for career advancement, and that’s reflected in the rich events, networking opportunities and backlog of educational materials available to all members. For instance, events include weekly member-led workshops, expert panel discussions, monthly business plan boot camps and more. Moreover, members also gain access to The Link — an app you can use to make posts for other members to see, as well as react to others’ posts and RSVP to events.
Memberships at Luminary are split into two categories — space or digital. With the space membership, you can choose from four different options that offer an in-person space to work. Amenities can include communal or private workspace, guest passes, high-speed Wi-Fi, black-and-white printing, and access to the fitness studio, meditation room, and conference rooms, depending on the membership option you choose. Alternatively, the digital membership has two options: The first offers access to the member platform, virtual programming, discounted day passes and the opportunity to book a conference room. Meanwhile, the second option offers the same amenities, as well as two days of in-person office access to Luminary or a partner coworking space.
Luminary is located in New York and features a rooftop bar and restaurant called The Glass Ceiling; three floors of work and social space; and a luxurious design. Additionally, there are many restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby that are perfect for a quick break or a casual meeting with a professional connection. Members can also easily commute to Luminary by bus or drive in and park at one of the parking lots within walking distance. If you’re interested in a membership at Luminary, you can request a tour or a free day pass to see if the space is right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

At 1204 Broadway, Meeting Rooms can be booked by the hour. For those looking for a workspace for an entire day, Open Desk Coworkings and Meeting Rooms are also available. In addition, Open Desk Coworkings and Private Offices can also be booked on a monthly basis.
-
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Luminary.
-
Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.
-
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Luminary, who is more than happy to help out.
-
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
