Operated by Code Fever Miami, Space Called Tribe is Miami’s only Black-operated coworking space and urban innovation hub that serves as a domain for underserved Blacks and minority entrepreneurs.
A Space Called Tribe seeks to bridge the gap between Blacks and the innovation ecosystem through training, networking, and funding to influence youths and adults toward enhancing innovation within the Black community. Specifically, the youth program focuses on increasing the number of Black students pursuing STEM careers. Meanwhile, the adult program improves access to information on technology and innovation through collaboration within a hub of entrepreneurs, tech professionals and venture capitalists with years of expertise.
The membership plans available at Space Called Tribe include Tribe daily passes, mailbox/business address and monthly subscriptions for part-time and full-time digital nomads, as well as team office spaces. In particular, the monthly subscription has complimentary bonus access and discounts on amenities like conference rooms and event space. For comparison, mailbox service/business address is suitable for individuals who only need the Space Called Tribe’s address as their official business address and mail receipt.
Here, the spaces available are the urban innovation classroom, with a relaxing check-in area, the hammock lounge area, and the main classroom that can seat 60 and includes dry erase boards, a projector and a sound system. There’s also the main coworking area, which houses the community workstation, as well as the backyard outdoor rock garden for events with picnic seating, additional tables and chairs, outdoor lighting a hammock, speakers and a microphone.
Other amenities provided include fast and reliable Wi-Fi access, TV and monitors, mail service, a reception area, a conference room reservation with a whiteboard and projector; an event space, access to the kitchen with complimentary coffee, tea, water and snacks, as well as parking spaces.
As an innovation hub, Space Called Tribe organizes hackathons, training, and mentoring programs to equip the Black community with the necessary skills to partake and thrive in the innovations in the tech ecosystem.
Plus, the area surrounding Northwest Third Avenue houses several conveniences, such as stores, restaurants and hotels. It’s also walkable and bikeable, with infrastructures supporting private and public transit options.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.
-
Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.
For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.
Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.
-
Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.
While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, Space Called Tribe may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.
-
Whether you need a short-term workspace solution or something more permanent, 937 Northwest 3rd Avenue has you covered. Meeting Rooms are available by the hour. But you can book Open Desk Coworkings for an entire day. Additionally, Open Desk Coworkings and Private Offices can be booked on a monthly basis.
-
With a monthly membership, 937 Northwest 3rd Avenue offers 24/7 access to its workspace, allowing you to work at any hour that suits your schedule. Hourly and day passes, however, typically grant access during regular business hours only.
