Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center is a workspace in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood of San Francisco. With the mission to empower and increase the entrepreneurial capacities of socially and economically diverse professionals, Renaissance provides expansive services tailored to you and your business, no matter what stage you’re at. Specifically, services include training, consulting, business incubation, networking, access to capital and other special programming.
That said, programming and services are where Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center shines — more precisely, its services tailored to women and other underserved communities, like the Women’s Business Center and the Women’s Leadership Council. To that end, the Women’s Leadership Council provides financial support to businesses and is dedicated to furthering the success of female entrepreneurs and underserved communities. Additionally, at the business center, you can enjoy business training, counseling, access to capital and markets, as well as support strategies for growth. Members can also sign up for the on-demand class called “Your Business on Your Schedule,” which is a six-week business class with the additional benefits of two hours of one-on-one counseling, two workshop programs and access to networking events.
Members also enjoy the office and meeting space at Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, from coworking spaces and cubicles to private offices, classrooms, conference rooms and meeting spaces. Here, you can choose from hourly, daily or monthly rates, as well as long-term agreements. In any case, all of these spaces are furnished with desks and chairs and can be arranged to meet your specific needs.
What’s more, due to its excellent location, there are many restaurants, coffee shops, and bars in the immediate area around Renaissance that are perfect for quick breaks and meals. You can also visit one of the many shops or get some fresh air at the Yerba Buena Gardens, which is just a short walk away. Then, when it’s time to head home, try one of the bus routes with nearby stops for your commute.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Please reach out to Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center for more detailed information on membership options and pricing.
-
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center.
-
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
-
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, who is more than happy to help out.
-
Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Schedule a tour here by filling out the form along with the date and time when you would like to visit the space and we’ll see you there.
