NextSpace Coworking Berkeley members are a diverse collection of freelancers, attorneys, software developers, start-ups, non-profit organizations and many other professionals who share not only the same office infrastructure, but also support each other in their respective enterprises. We call it the “NextSpace Effect.” Our main rules are to be respectful of the community, and to help make the space a productive and pleasant place for everyone to work. Get a Day Pass or learn more about our different Coworking Memberships.
Many members enjoy the affordable access to hot desks in our casual open coworking environment, while others prefer the privacy of dedicated desks similarly found within the open coworking area. We offer several types of atmospheres in our shared workspace ranging from “library-style” areas encouraging greater focus, to more social and vibrant areas, including the event space. Members are free to move from area to area depending on their personal or daily needs. From drop-in open coworking to monthly dedicated desk plans, we have options for you to match the best plan to your personal work needs.
NextSpace Berkeley has a dozen private offices that can accommodate between 1 and 4 professionals who prefer a little more privacy than the pure open coworking environment. Each office comes furnished and allows you to work in a quiet and private space, but remain attached to the buzzing coworking community with full access to the awesome events our members and NextSpace community curators put together regularly. The best of both worlds! Request a quote to see what private office space we have available.
Need a meeting room? Frequently Asked Questions
-
Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with Pacific Workplaces.
-
Adaptability is at the core of coworking, so membership options are always designed to cater to your changing work requirements and team dynamics. Most spaces offer month-to-month memberships, enabling you to adjust your workspace to your changing needs. Whether your business is growing or downsizing – or you just want to upgrade to a more private setting – you always have the flexibility to make the changes you need.
While your membership agreement may have specific terms regarding changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to Pacific Workplaces to discuss accommodating your adjustments.
-
Coworking spaces typically have limited storage options, most of which are reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices. With that said, it’s best to contact the coworking operator directly via the form on the right side of the page to learn about available storage options.
-
For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.
On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.
Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.
