I usually don't leave reviews but I must say, your no laptop policy is ridiculous. I went for the first time today, the staff was super friendly and the building is amazing, the seats and the food are great as well. I went and sat down where it was relatively quiet, enjoyed my coffee and cream cheese bagel. I then took out my laptop to write a quick mail to my prof, I didn't even open my laptop yet when a staff member told me and another girl that we should move to another area with our laptops. They were nice and patient but also in a rush. I have never been here before so I didn't know where the other seating area was and the other girl also didn't know. It was busy and there was noone available to ask at the moment, so we both left. The situation made us as customers feel like we did something wrong. I am only writing this because it was very discouraging. Maybe you can put signs somewhere at the entrance so people know about the laptop and laptop free zones when coming in and make the signs visible even when it is crowded, not when they are already seated. I thought it was possible to go here to work. It felt a little bit like being kicked out, which is not a good feeling, especially as a Person Of Color.

An inspiring and encouraging environment to work, socialize, and recharge. That said, the host/ess is rarely present, and timely, proactive service is essentially non-existent. While the café staff and barista consistently provide outstanding service, access to the coworking space relies on a host/ess who is often nowhere to be found. On two separate visits, I had to leave and return later—only to encounter the same issue again. Thankfully, the café team stepped up both times and issued my day pass, granting me access. Once inside, the day pass made for a highly productive experience at great value given the space’s grandeur and amenities. Highly recommended—especially if you can secure a membership and enjoy self-serve access!
