Industrious and Delta Airlines are striving to capitalize on the anticipated rise in business travel. The two businesses have recently announced their exciting new collaboration, which will enable Delta fliers to work from anywhere at any of Industrious’ 200 locations around the country.

The new initiative called “Delta Business Traveler” will cost $99 a month and is comparable to Delta’s partnership with automobile rental companies, which help streamline and ease the traveler journey. At the same time, this partnerships between coworking firms and flight companies follows the rising trend of coworking spaces in hotels, also meant to support digital nomads or travelers on their business trips.

The announcement was made in Atlanta by the two businesses. To commemorate the new partnership, a number of happy hour events are planned at Industrious locations around the nation.

Industrious CEO Jamie Hodari, said the following: “Business travelers are looking for more than just a flight and a laptop; they want their entire journey to be an experience worth having. Whether they need a place to host meetings for a day or want to extend their stay and get some focused work done, we’ll welcome them at one of our locations.”

Rather than leasing office space and subsequently subleasing it to customers — a risky practice given that it will be responsible for the same amount to landlords regardless of the number of tenants — Industrious is known to collaborate with building owners through a revenue-sharing scheme that appears to have given Hodari’s company more resilience in a competitive market.

As a testament to Industrious’ unique strategy, the company and Nuveen reached an agreement in February 2023 that would place the coworking operator in control of tenant experience and consumer branding for the landlord and developer’s whole portfolio.

Additionally, Industrious has secured funding from investors including CBRE, which contributed $100 million for a global growth in May 2022.
